Mayor’s Office of Media & Entertainment Unveils Schedule of Complimentary Events for Industry Professionals and Fans, Featuring Speakers at the Annual Conference on June 3

The comprehensive programming for the 8th annual New York Music Month (NYMM), the city’s official music festival celebrated every June, has been revealed. NYMM honors New York’s dynamic music industry with a month-long array of free events catering to artists, industry insiders, and fans.
This year signifies a significant transformation for NYMM, showcasing a new brand identity that includes an updated logo, fresh creative vision, and a completely redesigned website by delasign. These enhancements underscore the festival’s growth and its unwavering dedication to nurturing the city’s vibrant music scene. In partnership with over 50 music industry collaborators, MOME has assembled an eclectic lineup of 50+ complimentary events throughout June, featuring performances by emerging artists, as well as expert-led panels, workshops, and masterclasses addressing key industry topics, artistic development, and professional advancement. NYMM Conference: The festivities commence with the flagship NYMM Conference, hosted in collaboration with the NYU Steinhardt Music Business Program, returning to the NYU Skirball Center on June 3. This year’s conference is backed by ABKCO, Songbird Creative, SONY Audio, Don Londres, and Hudson House Distillery. The event includes 40 experts discussing the most significant trends and topics shaping the music industry.

NYMM Performances: The NYMM Performance series will consist of 18 free concerts across the city, showcasing a diverse range of live music experiences and collaborations. This year features the launch of Radio City, a new series developed by co-sign that pays tribute to New York’s independent, non-commercial radio stations—WFMU, WFUV, WKCR, WNYC, WNYE / Afropop Worldwide, and The Lot Radio / Dada Strain—through live performances and community engagement events that highlight their musical identities and artist connection points. Additional performance highlights include World Wide Playdate with Divinity Roxx and Friends, a family-friendly concert event; a five-borough emerging artist showcase produced by Sungate Records; and Young Masters, presented by THE OFFICE performing arts + film, featuring two-time Latin GRAMMY© winner Ella Bric and NPR Tiny Desk Contest winner Linda Diaz.

NYC Media Programming: NYC Media, the official broadcast network of the City of New York and part of the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment, will present four episodes of Inside Power Station @BerkleeNYC’s third season on Fridays at 9pm throughout NYMM. The episodes feature songwriter Alexis IdaRose Kesselman, music producer Ian Kimmel, singer/songwriter Gabriel Garzon-Montano, and sound engineer Ian Kagey. This 12-episode series, hosted by Arun Pandian, airs on NYC Media’s Emmy Award-winning lifestyle channel NYC Life (WNYE-TV/Channel 25) and includes interviews and performances from New York City’s iconic Power Station recording studio.
