MANSFIELD — On Friday night, Downtown Mansfield buzzed with activity, and Richland Source sent out two photographers to document the excitement.
The evening kicked off with the first Final Friday of the season at the Brickyard, followed by lively crowds heading to The Mothership at 327 Park Avenue West for the Bigger, Better & More Bonafide Hip Hop Heroes show.
Those who braved the uncertain weather were rewarded with a fantastic concert at the Brickyard. The crowd gave a heartfelt “welcome back” to MC Tommy Barnes, who had undergone a kidney transplant last year.
The DJ for the evening at The Mothership was “DJ Drojack,” and the final act was Devy Kay, accompanied by Keith Parker. Hailing from Mansfield, Devy is currently honing his craft in Columbus, expanding his horizons.
The Mothership was packed to capacity.

Photographer Rob Stroul captured images from the Final Friday event at the Brickyard and the final acts at The Mothership’s Hip Hop event.
The Mothership photos feature “Thuh Koz,” a married duo, Tika and Jamison.
