EPACENTER: Illuminated
Grammy-winning opera composer Mason Bates will guide musicians in a multimedia concert on May 30, merging classical and electronic music to support EPACENTER, a creative hub for youth in East Palo Alto.
Bates is known for works like “The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs,” and he is currently preparing for the world premiere of his upcoming opera, “The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay,” at the Metropolitan Opera next fall.
Besides Bates’ performance, EPACENTER: Illuminated! will showcase youth performances, hands-on art activities, and more. Attendees at this fundraiser will also have the chance to explore interactive exhibits highlighting EPACENTER’s programs in visual arts, design, performance, and music before the show.
Tickets for the fundraiser begin at $1,500, available at https://epacenter.org/event/2025epacenter-illuminated.
