See: Former SKID ROW Vocalist ERIK GRONWALL Performs Again with H.E.A.T in Madrid

Former SKID ROW vocalist Erik Grönwall made a special appearance with his old band H.E.A.T on stage last Friday (May 23) at La Riviera in Madrid, Spain, where they performed three tracks: “Breaking The Silence”, “Inferno”, and “Living On The Run”. Fan-captured footage from the concert — which was also professionally recorded for an upcoming DVD and Blu-ray release — can be viewed below.

Grönwall contributed his vocals to four H.E.A.T studio albums: “Address The Nation” (2012), “Tearing Down The Walls” (2014), “Into The Great Unknown” (2017), and “H.E.A.T II” (2020).

In October 2020, H.E.A.T announced that Grönwall would be leaving the band after a decade, with original vocalist Kenny Leckremo stepping in as his replacement.

Grönwall expressed at the time: “H.E.A.T has truly been a place of growth for me as a person, singer, and frontman. The guys saw potential in this young Swedish ‘Idol’ contestant even when I doubted myself. I will always be thankful for that.

“Gentlemen, it’s been an honor touring around the globe with you. I’ve gained so much from you, and you have made me stronger. I look forward to creating more memories with you, just not as part of H.E.A.T.”

Leckremo had previously sung on the band’s first two studio albums, “H.E.A.T” (2008) and “Freedom Rock” (2010), and was featured on their latest release, “Welcome To The Future”, which came out on April 25 through earMUSIC.

Earlier this month, Grönwall left Michael Schenker‘s European tour to return to Sweden and be with his ailing father.

Schenker was touring to support his recently launched album “My Years With UFO”, commemorating the 50th anniversary of his time with UFO.

Grönwall is featured on the track “Mother Mary” from “My Years With UFO”, which also showcases a guest guitar performance by GUNS N’ ROSES‘ Slash.

In March 2024, Grönwall — who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in March 2021 — announced his exit from SKID ROW. He stated that the demands of touring were not suitable for his health and recovery, and he wished to pursue a lifestyle more conducive to his well-being, healing, and family time.

This past January, Grönwall lauded H.E.A.T keyboardist Jona Tee, writing in a social media post: “I had the honor of getting to know Jona when I joined his band, H.E.A.T, in 2010. We embarked on an incredible 10-year journey together, and during that time, he became my closest friend. One of the most valuable aspects of my experience with H.E.A.T was the friendship we formed, and it’s one I will always cherish.⠀
