In the latest episode of JTBC’s variety show ‘Knowing Bros,’ i-dle (previously known as (G)I-DLE) was featured as the special guests. The girl group made an appearance amid promotions for their recent comeback with their title track ‘Good Thing.’ While sharing anecdotes, dancing, and engaging in games with the hosts, i-dle’s Soyeon unveiled an important update regarding her current activities.
Following the announcement of P Nation’s inaugural girl group, tentatively named ‘P Girls,’ rumors have circulated that Soyeon would take on the role of producer for the group, collaborating with PSY. Despite a lack of official confirmation for several months, anticipation has been building around the highly anticipated four-member girl group.
Now, Soyeon has officially confirmed this news. During her appearance on ‘Knowing Bros,’ she took the chance to speak about P Nation’s new girl group and her role as producer. She asserted that she is the main producer for ‘P Girls’ and has even produced their debut track. Soyeon elaborated that while renewing her contract with Cube Entertainment, she emphasized her desire to engage more in music production in the future. She expressed her ambition to collaborate with various artists.
Meanwhile, while Soyeon is recognized for her composition and production work for numerous i-dle songs, she also contributed to the production of the girl group QWER’s recent release, ‘My Name is Malguem.
No official debut date has been announced for ‘P Girls’ yet, but they are anticipated to debut sometime in 2025. You can watch their reveal video here:
