Alex Warren’s “Ordinary” continues its reign as the top song globally, securing a third consecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 while also marking its debut atop the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart.
The Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts, established in September 2020, measure song performance based on streaming and sales data from over 200 territories worldwide, compiled by Luminate. The Global 200 includes global data, while the Global Excl. U.S. chart features data from regions outside the United States.
Rankings on these charts are determined using a weighted formula that includes official streams from both subscription and ad-supported audio and video music services, in addition to download sales. The sales figures represent purchases from full-service digital music retailers globally, excluding direct-to-consumer (D2C) site sales from the rankings calculations.
Leading the Global 200, “Ordinary” has garnered 69.5 million streams (up 5% from last week) and 12,000 sales (up 6%) globally during the week of May 9-15.
The top five positions in the Global 200 remain unchanged from the previous week: “Die With a Smile” sits at No. 2 after 18 weeks at No. 1, a record only surpassed by Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You”; ROSÉ and Bruno Mars’ “APT.” at No. 3, following 12 weeks at No. 1; Billie Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather” at No. 4, after three weeks leading last August; and Benson Boone’s “Beautiful Things” at No. 5, after a seven-week reign beginning in February 2024.
In the top 10 of the Global 200, The Weeknd and Playboi Carti’s “Timeless” jumps from No. 28 to No. 10, fueled by a 35% increase to 37.9 million streams worldwide, following the release of a remix featuring Doechii on May 9. The track previously peaked at No. 3 upon its debut last October.
“Ordinary” climbs from No. 2 to No. 1 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart with 49.1 million streams (up 7%) and 5,000 sales (up 2%) outside the U.S. Just like on the Global 200, this marks Warren’s first No. 1 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart.
“Die With a Smile” falls to No. 2 after a noteworthy 17-week run at the top of the Global Excl. U.S. chart since last September. The only track to have a longer reign is “APT.” by ROSÉ and Bruno Mars, which remains at No. 3 with 19 weeks at No. 1, starting in November.
“Birds of a Feather” rises from No. 5 to No. 4 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, having led for three weeks last August, while JENNIE’s “like JENNIE” slips from No. 4 to No. 5 after reaching No. 3 previously.
