Xzibit collaborated once more with his long-time partner, Dr. Dre, on the track, “Leave Me Alone,” featured in his latest album, Kingmaker. He also joined forces with Ty Dolla $ign and Swizz Beatz for this song. “She like, ‘Baby, I ain’t seen you in a minute’ / I’m with my same old, same old brothers,” Ty croons in the chorus.
Fans are raving about the song on social media. In the YouTube comments, one user shared: “X to the Z grabbed the Dre beat, then added the fire. That’s just what we needed, a tease for Restless II. Well done, X! Fantastic album sir…please give us the full Dre-produced album next…” Another fan chimed in: “DR. DRE & Swizz Beatz collaborating on production together? WOW!”
In a recent interview with Billboard, Xzibit shared his thoughts on reuniting with Dr. Dre after all these years. He remarked: “We were set to drop on March 28, and then [‘Leave Me Alone’] came in. I was like, ‘Oh s–t!’ It was wild. Swizz Beatz actually crafted the track while Dre co-produced it, and having both of them on a single track is unprecedented. It was thrilling. Having Dre on the album after so long means everything to me. He’s my brother; he’s my coach.” Throughout Kingmaker, Xzibit also collaborates with Ice Cube, Busta Rhymes, and others.
