With ongoing tensions between ADOR/HYBE and NewJeans/Min Hee Jin, YouTube reporter Lee Jin Ho has exacerbated the situation by disclosing private messages that purportedly reveal Min Hee Jin’s media tactics aimed at influencing public perception in favor of NewJeans.
On June 5, after the court suggested both parties consider settlement, Lee Jin Ho hosted a live-streamed analysis of the ongoing litigation involving HYBE and its subsidiary ADOR.

During his broadcast, he presented supposed KakaoTalk messages from Min Hee Jin that seem to outline a deliberate strategy to sway public sentiment and exert pressure on HYBE.
Lee Jin Ho stated that the KakaoTalk messages were submitted as court evidence. The conversation allegedly contains comments indicating that Min Hee Jin was gearing up to leverage media in her approach.

The messages allegedly show Min Hee Jin discussing investments and media strategy with former ADOR vice representative Lee.
Lee remarked:
“Hee Jin, today I had a casual conversation with an acquaintance, and we discussed potential investors capable of investing in trillions of won (billions of USD).
I noted that in the capital market, it’s feasible for a minority shareholder to overcome a majority shareholder’s control and establish themselves as the actual owner of a company. Our plan, information, and execution skills are what matter most.”“The idea is to negotiate with HYBE.
We would offer them our previously invested shares in return for ADOR shares.
This would also benefit HYBE: rather than letting ADOR become a vacant entity, they can sell it for a fair price before it deteriorates.”
Min Hee Jin stated:
“Ultimately, we need to utilize the media. We must prepare how to distance ourselves when HYBE falters completely.“
“Do you think they’d relinquish NewJeans for 800 billion KRW (~590.3 million USD)? This is only viable with substantial leverage, such as a hidden issue or an unusual condition that compels them to negotiate.”
“Discredit ILLIT or HYBE. Make it known publicly. This will help expedite the decision regarding ADOR’s sale. If discussions remain internal, we will be sold off without our input.”
Throughout their exchanges, the two frequently explored ways to harness media coverage. Lee even suggested Min Hee Jin’s team arrange meetings with selected media outlets to ensure positive narratives about NewJeans and negative portrayals of HYBE.
Meanwhile, on June 4, the court recommended that NewJeans and ADOR come to a settlement. However, the group firmly turned down this suggestion, stating through their legal team, “The relationship of trust has been completely shattered. We have crossed a river and can no longer return.”
