ABIGAIL WILLIAMS Releases First New Track in Six Years, “Nonexistence”

The American black metal band Abigail Williams—led by mastermind and frontman Ken Sorceron along with Vance Valenzuela (Vale Of Pnath) on guitars, John Porada (formerly of Nachtmystium and Wolvhammer) on bass, and Mike Heller (Fear Factory, Malignancy) on drums—is debuting their first new track in six years, “Nonexistence.” The song embodies the essence of black metal while incorporating atmospheric elements and a striking, almost David Gilmour-like guitar solo in the middle.

“This record emerged during the quiet moments when everything felt empty,” Sorceron shares. “A Void Within Existence isn’t just a title—it’s a feeling that lingered with me throughout the writing process. There’s a sense of isolation woven into these tracks that comes from a place deeper than I anticipated. As the world outside unraveled, so too did my inner world.

“I aimed to transcend the boundaries we explored on Walk Beyond the Dark. Sonically, emotionally, spiritually—nothing was off-limits. I produced the album to align with that vision, and with Dave Otero mixing and Mike Heller on drums, everything came alive just as I envisioned it—raw, expansive, and intense. This record is about absence. It’s about stripping away what isn’t real—an investigation into the emptiness that remains. If anything survives that exploration, it could be the truth. Or perhaps just the void.

Abigail Williams is set to release their new album A Void Within Existence on July 18. The album was produced by Sorceron, mixed by the acclaimed engineer Dave Otero (Aborted, Akhlys), with cover art crafted by Eliran Kantor (Testament, Bloodbath). Pre-orders can be made here.
