It appears that world-renowned pop star Justin Bieber might be facing some financial difficulties. Documents acquired by TMZ indicate that an independent audit by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) revealed that the “Baby” singer supposedly owes millions to his former manager, Scooter Braun, due to his canceled Justice Tour in 2022.
In June 2024, Braun announced his retirement from music management, but their split occurred much earlier. At that time, reports suggested a feud between the two, especially after a Bieber representative stated to People, “Scooter Braun and SB Projects are not involved in Justin’s current business or management and will not be involved moving forward.” It now seems their relationship may have soured due to the pop singer’s significant debt to Braun.
Justin Bieber reportedly owes millions to former manager Scooter Braun amid claims of going ‘broke.’
As per TMZ, Bieber’s debt to Braun exceeds $8,806,000, while there have been whispers recently suggesting he might be experiencing financial strain. In October 2024, TMZ reported that the singer, estimated to have a net worth of $300 million and who sold his music catalog for $200 million in 2022, was contemplating legal action against his former financial managers for allegedly mismanaging his fortune.

Nonetheless, a source revealed to Page Six that Bieber’s lavish spending habits were contributing to a severe downturn in his finances, describing them as “out of control.” The source alleged that Bieber was spending “eye-watering amounts each month; at one point, he couldn’t even secure a credit card,” adding that his close circle “do not have his best interests at heart.”
The Hollywood Reporter claimed in April 2024 that those around Bieber were concerned they were observing him “disintegrate.” Various sources suggested that the pop star’s debt of $20 million stemmed from the cancellation of the 2022 Justice Tour, but many of his friends believe his financial decisions are questionable.
5 things Justin Bieber has splurged on:
1. Houses
At the age of 18, Bieber acquired his first million-dollar home in Calabasas, California, for $6.5 million, later selling it to Khloé Kardashian for $7.2 million in 2014. He subsequently rented a series of high-value condos and homes in Beverly Hills before shelling out $132,000 a month for a luxury mansion in London.
In 2018, Bieber returned to Los Angeles, leasing a $9.6 million mansion in West Hollywood for $55,000 monthly. Eventually, he spent $5 million on a property in Ontario, Canada. After marrying Hailey, the couple purchased an $8.5 million home in Beverly Hills. They later sold that property two years later for just under $8 million and eventually upgraded to a $25 million residence in another part of Los Angeles.
2. Cars
According to The Richest, by 2021, Bieber owned over a dozen cars worth upwards of $4 million combined. Some of the most expensive vehicles in his collection include a Lamborghini Aventador and a Mercedes-Maybach S600. The Aventador alone set him back $421,350, as reported by U.S. News & World Report.
The outlet noted that he customized the Aventador with a unique turquoise paint job, which likely cost a considerable amount. Additionally, he spray-painted “cash only” on the driver’s side door, which could detract from its resale value.
3. His clothing brand
In January 2019, Bieber launched his fashion brand, Drew House, in collaboration with his former stylist, Ryan Good. A streetwear line that garnered significant fan affection, Bieber probably invested a substantial sum in developing the clothing and accessories, marked by the signature smiley face logo.
However, in April, he announced the end of his association with Drew House in a now-deleted Instagram post. In that message, as reported by PEOPLE, Bieber urged fans not to support the brand any longer.
“I Justin Bieber am no longer involved in this brand. Drew House doesn’t represent me or my family or life. If you’re repping the human Justin Bieber, don’t waste your money on Drew House.”
4. Tattoos
Getting tattoos is a significant expense, and with Bieber sporting over 60 tattoos, it’s reasonable to assume he has spent quite a bit on the artwork. He revealed in 2018 that it took more than 100 hours to complete all of his ink, which primarily covers his chest and arms.
5. Dinners and private jets
A source informed Page Six earlier this month that Bieber was “flying all his friends in on private jets for his birthday celebration, openly sharing it on Instagram.” They claimed Bieber would “spend $300,000 at Nobu during Coachella. He hasn’t worked in quite a while.”
While it is known that Bieber hosted the exclusive party with a guest list including Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Tate McRae, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Justine Skye, Alix Earle, and Yeat, the actual cost of the event remains unclear. People did mention that Nobu, which catered the affair, charged $350 per person for regular festival attendees.
