SINGAPORE – K-pop girl group 2NE1, along with Taemin and Minho from the boy band Shinee, have been added to the lineup for the second edition of Waterbomb Singapore, taking place at Siloso Beach in Sentosa.
These headliners will join a roster of other music acts including Junny, Huta (Lee Minhyuk from BTOB), Jay B from Got7, Ash Island, Anson Lo from Mirror, and Exid.
Scheduled for August 30 and 31, this water music festival originated in South Korea, with its inaugural edition in 2015. It has since expanded regionally, making its debut in Singapore in August 2024, featuring K-pop stars such as Rain, Jay Park, Jessi, BamBam, and Chung Ha on stage.
2NE1 members Sandara Park and CL, who were part of the 2024 lineup, will return to the Waterbomb Singapore stage in 2025 as a full group with their bandmates Bom and Minzy. The quartet last performed in Singapore in December 2024 for two comeback concerts at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Taemin and Minho, fresh from their solo performances at Waterbomb Seoul 2024, are set to bring that same energy to the Singapore edition. They were last in the city in March 2024 during Shinee’s sixth world tour, Shinee World VI: Perfect Illumination, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Waterbomb Singapore 2025 will also showcase several music collaborations, including Team Bebe x Jam Republic. Team Bebe, the champions of the South Korean TV dance competition Street Woman Fighter 2 (2023), is renowned for its electrifying performances, while Jam Republic is an international street dance crew.
Also expect a nostalgic set from the reunited duo Sorn x Seungyeon, former members of the South Korean girl group CLC.
Home-grown talent will also be featured, including former J-pop singer Estelle Fly, a former member of the Japanese idol group Sea*A, and singer-songwriter Whylucas, who competed in the regional idol survival show Chuang Asia 2 (2025).
Tickets range from $228 for a one-day general pass to $458 for a two-day premium pass and are available exclusively through Pelago (www.pelago.com). General sales commence on May 16 at 10 am.
