Kevin Jonas is catching many people off guard on the internet by revealing that his actual first name is Paul.
“My first name’s not Kevin,” the Jonas Brothers guitarist, 37, noted in a video from May 19, while taking part in a TikTok challenge inspired by the beat of Chris Brown and Usher’s 2014 track, “New Flame.”
“Should I switch my handle to PaulJonas?” Jonas, whose full name is Paul Kevin Jonas Jr., captioned the video.

While some TikTok viewers were surprised by Jonas’ revelation, longtime fans of the Jonas Brothers reacted with indifference.
“Old news. I read it in an unofficial Jonas Brothers biography I found at Walmart in 2008. Next,” one fan commented.
“I know, baby. I was writing Mrs. Paul Kevin Jonas in my notebooks back in 2007,” another joked.
The official Jonas Brothers TikTok account also chimed in on Jonas’ video, stating, “Breaking news.”

Jonas is set to take the stage with his bandmates, siblings Nick Jonas and Joe Jonas, at Rockefeller Plaza as part of the Citi Concert Series on TODAY on Aug. 8.
It’s a performance his oldest daughter, Alena, might want to see.
The “Sucker” artist shared with People in March that Alena, 11, has been using her connections to ask him for exclusive Jonas Brothers concert tickets.
“She’s like, ‘Dad, can I get my own box (to) invite my friends to the show on the 10th?’ I was like, ‘I’ll see what I can do for you, babe,'” he revealed.
“So yeah, we’ve reached that stage,” he added. “But it’s exciting. I love it.”
The father of two, who shares Alena and a younger daughter, Valentina, 8, with his wife Danielle Jonas, expressed that his daughters’ pride means everything to him.
“I’m proud to be their dad, No. 1, but the fact that they’re proud of me and us, it’s great,” he said.
