Lorde surprised fans with an unexpected appearance at a themed club night in her honor in Sydney. Check out footage of her arrival and more below.

Last night (May 25), Mary’s Underground in Sydney hosted a celebration titled What Was That: A Club Night Dedicated to Lorde, partially organized by Xeimma, who also DJed during the event.
Midway through the night, fans were stunned when Lorde herself made an appearance. A few lucky attendees recognized the Kiwi artist, exchanged friendly words, and the club erupted with applause.
Lorde later took to the stage and console; however, she did not perform. Watch clips of her dancing with fans and her arrival at Mary’s Underground below.
After the event, Xeimma shared on Instagram along with photos of her and Lorde: “Still in disbelief. Feeling incredibly thankful to @lorde for making this a night we’ll cherish for years. It’s official – Lorde came to my party on May 25, 2025. After years of organizing events, this was one of the most fulfilling nights of my life. Truly unmatched. Thank you for all the love, everyone!!!”
Lorde is preparing to release her new album, ‘Virgin,’ on June 27. This will be her fourth album, following 2021’s ‘Solar Power,’ and is already teased with the lead single ‘What Was That.’
She has also announced a series of headline tour dates across the UK, Europe, and North America in celebration of the album, starting in September in Austin, Texas, and concluding in December in Stockholm.

In the lead-up to the album launch and upcoming tour, Lorde has shared insights into influences on her sound, including open conversations about her gender identity and evolution, her journey overcoming eating struggles, and how these shows may represent her “masterpiece.”
