“I shot this video in October, and by November, during Thanksgiving, I ended up in the ICU for a brief period,” she explained to host Jimmy Kimmel. “But it was mostly due to Thanksgiving. The ER was packed with people—some choking on turkey legs or something. My leg started to break down around the kneecap area.”
She remembered the doctor asking, “Do you have any idea why you’d have such a severe infection on your kneecap?”
“And I just visualized myself [mimics dance moves],” she replied. “I had to explain, and to have a surgeon look at you and say, ‘Yuck.’”
“They dissect cadavers, they view human organs, and here they are, staring at me and saying I’m repulsive,” Miley added. “And they perform brain surgery.”
During her late-night visit, Miley also discussed becoming a Disney legend, the memorabilia she has from her Hannah Montana days, a childhood job, and more. She also performed her song “More to Lose.”
Miley‘s new album Something Beautiful is scheduled for release on May 30th, while the film will screen in theaters for one night only on June 12th. Check out the newly released trailer here!
