A newly released biography of Queen’s legendary frontman, Freddie Mercury, is making waves with the astonishing claim that the rock icon may have had an undisclosed daughter.
Titled Love, Freddie, the book is authored by prominent rock journalist Lesley-Ann Jones and narrates the story of a woman known only as B, who asserts that she is Mercury’s offspring.
Now 48 years old, B resides in Europe, works in the healthcare field, and is a mother herself. This means Freddie is now a grandfather!
Jones reveals that B was conceived during an affair between Mercury and the spouse of one of his closest friends while the friend was away on an extended business trip. The woman, a devout Roman Catholic, reportedly refused to consider abortion. This affair took place just a year after Queen’s classic hit ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ dominated the charts.
The existence of the child was a closely protected secret, known only to a small circle of Mercury’s most trusted associates, including his family, Queen bandmates, and Mary Austin, the woman Mercury once intended to marry. Although they did not have children, Mary remained a lifelong companion and one of the few who supposedly was aware of the secret.
