The summer of 2025 is igniting as a surge of K-pop girl groups gear up to dominate the charts and stages. With both fresh debuts and exciting comebacks, June is turning into an arena for vying for this year’s title of “Summer Queen.”

First in the spotlight is USPEER, a new seven-member girl group from WM Entertainment. Being the company’s first girl group in nearly a decade since OH MY GIRL, anticipation is high. USPEER is set to officially debut on June 4, 2025, KST with the single album ‘Speed Zone’, featuring the title track ‘Zoom’ and the B-side ‘Telepathy’, both crafted by K-pop hitmakers MonoTree. With a dynamic and vibrant image, the group is ready to make a splash from day one.

The competition heats up on June 9, 2025, KST, as four significant comebacks are lined up for that day. Notably, IZNA will return just two months after their debut with the new single ‘BEEP’, available in both Korean and Japanese versions. After clinching two music show trophies with their debut single ‘SIGN’, IZNA is riding a wave of momentum, further bolstered by their performances at major global events like KCON LA, Summer Sonic Japan, and KT POP Taiwan.

Also making their highly awaited return is ITZY, set to release their mini album ‘Girls Will Be Girls’, marking their first comeback of 2025 and their first since ‘GOLD’ in October of the previous year. This album features five tracks, highlighted by the title track of the same name. Renowned for their sharp choreography and striking image, ITZY aims for chart supremacy and festival appearances once again.

Pop-rock band QWER is gearing up to launch their third mini album ‘I’m on your side, Even if the world is in discord’ on the same day. This album continues the touching narrative initiated with their debut ‘Harmony from Discord’, showcasing their development both musically and emotionally. All six tracks, including ‘Holding Back Tears’ and ‘Yours Sincerely’, emphasize the band’s involvement in songwriting, reflecting their growing artistic identity.

To further elevate the summer lineup, KISS OF LIFE is back with their fourth mini album ‘224’. Following last year’s summer smash ‘Sticky’, the group is poised to show their enriched musical tones and performance style. The title track ‘Lips Hips Kiss’ leads a collection of seven songs that highlight the group’s evolving identity, sensibility, and confidence.

Another eagerly awaited comeback comes from ARTMS, the five-member group formed from former LOONA members Heejin, Haseul, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, and Choerry. After their debut album ‘Dall (Devine All Love & Live)’ was lauded for its cinematic concept and striking visuals, they return with ‘Club Icarus’, a new chapter set to elevate their mythological themes and musical aspirations.

Concluding the month, ILLIT will unveil their third mini album ‘Bomb’ on June 16, 2025, KST. This album focuses on nurturing relationships, a thematic continuation of their ongoing story. The title track ‘Borrowed Cat (Do the Dance)’ fuses playful charm with French house beats, drawing inspiration from a Korean idiom that describes feeling awkward and out of sorts. With their quirky confidence and youthful spirit, ILLIT aspires to bring something uniquely theirs to the table.
As June progresses, each group is under the spotlight to deliver performances that will help define the season. With diverse styles and strong momentum, the race for this summer’s standout act has officially commenced.
