The most controversial president in America is now turning his attention to Arcade Fire, describing their name as “very sad” and claiming their music isn’t good.
He asserts that Arcade Fire has been quite disrespectful to your favorite president, who is him.
In an all-caps post, the controversial figure declared, “ANOTHER ONE! MY VERY TALL SON BARRON HAS INFORMED ME THAT AN ‘ARTIST’ WITH THE VERY SAD NAME ‘ARCADE FIRE’ – WHO IS NOT EVEN FROM OUR GREAT COUNTRY, AMERICA – HAS BEEN VERY RUDE TO YOUR FAVORITE PRESIDENT, ME! AS A RESULT, BARRON WILL NO LONGER ATTEND THIS PERSON’S VARIETY PERFORMANCES. NOT GOOD MUSIC!”
While it’s unclear what Will Butler recently said about the controversial figure, he has a history of criticizing him, dating back to 2016, when he referred to Trump as “a nightmare.”
In Arcade Fire’s 2017 track ‘I Give You Power,’ the lyrics state, “I give you power / Over me / I give you power / But I gotta be free / I give you power / And now I can say / I give you power / I can take it away.”
In 2018, Butler condemned Trump’s remarks about racism following the president’s statement, “Why do we want people from Haiti here?” Butler responded, “Haiti is one of the most incredible places I’ve visited, and we need more Haitian-Americans.”
If Barron is just now realizing Arcade Fire’s stance on his father, it’s clear his admiration was lacking from the start.
Trump losing the backing of Arcade Fire, Bruce Springsteen, and Taylor Swift is hardly a tragedy. Who needs them when you have The Village People and Kid Rock?
