The members of fromis_9 recently took part in a photoshoot for Harper’s Bazaar Korea, a popular fashion magazine.
This photoshoot highlights the distinct and confident charms of fromis_9 members Song Hayoung, Park Jiwon, Lee Nagyung, Lee Chaeyoung, and Baek Jiheon.
In a follow-up interview post-shoot, the members discussed their preparations for their upcoming comeback. Song Hayoung mentioned, “Every step presented a new challenge. I wanted each person to feel the essence of the group, even with fewer members, and envisioned how amazing it would be for the stage to still appear full.”
Baek Jiheon added, “When I think about this album, I envision the kind of ocean everyone dreams of. Both the title track and the B-sides have a freer vibe. While we stay true to fromis_9’s signature sound—brimming with positive energy—we pondered a lot on the question, ‘What freshness can we convey as just the five of us?’”
When asked about fromis_9’s unique charm, Lee Chaeyoung responded, “Our bright energy. Even during challenging times, we all strive to keep a cheerful atmosphere. Just thinking about my fellow members boosts my spirits.”
Park Jiwon shared, “Being with the members makes me more talkative, and my energy totally shifts. I wonder why that is. Perhaps it’s because I feel most authentic and completely at ease with them.”
When discussing the types of performances they hope to present in the future, Lee Nagyung expressed her enthusiasm for their forthcoming album, saying, “The new album contains numerous tracks with band sounds. I would love to attempt a rock band-style performance at least once.”
