Thom Yorke, the frontman of Radiohead and the Smile, has lent his talents to the upcoming Apple TV+ series Smoke with the theme song “Dialing In.” This previously unreleased track, which Yorke has performed live as “Gawpers,” is available for streaming for the first time. Check out “Dialing In” below and watch the trailer for Smoke.
Smoke centers around a detective (Jurnee Smollett) and an arson investigator (Taron Egerton) who are on the hunt for a duo of serial arsonists causing chaos throughout the Pacific Northwest. In discussing Yorke’s theme song, Smoke creator and executive producer Dennis Lehane remarked: “Collaborating with Thom Yorke was as significant for me as working with Clint Eastwood, Martin Scorsese, or Richard Price. I’ve been fortunate to work with legendary figures who have significantly influenced my own creative journey. Thom is certainly one of them. He transformed a simple idea I provided and crafted a song that perfectly encapsulates the essence of the show.”
Recently, Yorke released Tall Tales, a new collaborative album with electronic producer Mark Pritchard.
