Originating from Fort Worth, Texas, FUGITIVE showcases guitarist and leader Blake Ibanez and vocalist Seth Gilmore, who have been energetically managing sold-out shows worldwide with both POWER TRIP and FUGITIVE throughout 2024. With FUGITIVE, Ibanez delivers even more of the seismic intensity that has defined his career.
FUGITIVE burst onto the metal scene with authority in 2022 through their self-released “Maniac” EP and its subsequent two-track release, featuring “Blast Furnace”.
Today, the band has unveiled its new partnership with Blue Grape Music and dropped a crushing new single titled “Spheres Of Virulence”.
Produced by Ibanez and mixed by Tom Dalgety, this track marks the first offering of new music from FUGITIVE since 2023 — and it certainly lives up to the anticipation.
If you’re a fan of classic ’80s-era METALLICA and OBITUARY, FUGITIVE will be right up your alley.

FUGITIVE will embark on a tour this July as part of the “Summer Slaughter” lineup, joining forces with HATEBREED, GRIDIRON, MALEVOLENCE, and more.

In 2022, industry veterans David Rath and Cees Wessels established Blue Grape Music. The name is recognizable to rock enthusiasts, as it was also the merchandise company originally launched by Wessels, who founded the notable Roadrunner Records in the ’80s. Rath dedicated 21 years to the A&R department at Roadrunner, contributing to albums from numerous RIAA-certified and culturally significant artists, including SLIPKNOT, KORN, TURNSTILE, GOJIRA, COHEED AND CAMBRIA, WHITE REAPER, SLASH, TRIVIUM, DREAM THEATER, and more. As the label underwent management and ownership changes, Rath played a pivotal role in guiding the company and overseeing the signings of acts like YOUNG THE GIANT and VANCE JOY. Ultimately, the Blue Grape executive team is driven by experience and an unyielding work ethic. Having just announced the signing of the Texas thrash juggernauts FUGITIVE, Blue Grape‘s first signing was two-time Grammy nominee CODE ORANGE, followed by a diverse lineup of rock, metal, and hardcore acts including SPIRITUAL CRAMP, SUPERHEAVEN, GEL, GRIDIRON, DOFLAME, BIKE ROUTES, SILLY GOOSE, GASKET, and HEAVY//HITTER, with more signing announcements anticipated this year.
